The Opportunity
Sportstats Performance is an event timing and athlete data company with more than 30 years in the timing business. It serves more than 400 clients and over 1,000 events a year in 35-plus countries. Third Coast Development, our affiliate, bought the company for its culture, its customer relationships, and its technology.
Carbon River's Approach
Third Coast Development, the development firm led by Carbon River's principals, acquired Sportstats Performance in 2023 and added it to a group of operating businesses held alongside its real estate. Sports Acquisition LLC is the Carbon River Capital entity formed as an equity raise for the company.
